I came across these bluebells in Donadea Forest, County Kildare, about a twenty-minute drive from where I live. The swathe of blue-purple flowers between the lovely slender trees immediately caught my eye and became the subject of this acrylic painting.

I took a little artistic licence with the path and added patches of dappled light to draw the eye into the scene. The curve leads around to the left, inviting you to follow it further into the trees and bluebells.
