Beautiful Sentiments of Dublin City

This print was purchased along with another ("A Grafton Street Moment”) as a gift to my Mum for Christmas. Mum has taken me into town since I was a little girl, and we have many treasured memories of these outings we made together - from our shopping sprees, walks down Grafton Street (Mum’s favourite place!) to our many lunch and coffee/cake stops! When we travel in to town (we still go regularly), we get off Dublin bus at Bachelors Walk and make our way across the Ha’Penny Bridge and “Under the Arch” through to Temple Bar and eventually to Grafton Street. Chris has captured these exact moments, moments which Mum and I have shared together many times over the past 29 years, and Mum with Dad many years before that. The colours, tones, depth and detail of the paintings are striking, with the life and soul of Dublin city captured in a perfect moment. Chris must have the same love of Dublin as we do, as every time we look at each painting it is impossible to feel nothing but love and pride for our beautiful Dublin. We now keep a little bit of these moments & memories to enjoy each day in Mum and Dad's sitting room.
