The Old Stand, Dublin - 388
The original of this painting hangs in The Old Stand pub which is on the corner of Exchequer Street and St Andrew Street, Dublin. There has been a licensed premises here for nearly 300 years and it is named after the old stand at Landsdowne Road, the former venue for Irish rugby internationals, and the pub itself has a long association with the game and is a popular pub for rugby players and rugby fans alike.
The street on which the Old Stand sits was known as Hog Hill in medieval times
This painting is available as a Limited Edition run of 200 prints using Epson Archival inks on supreme quality Hahnemuhle Traditional Fine Art paper. See dropdown menu above to see size, price and framing options.
The Old Stand
I bought this framed picture for my Mother,as she frequented The Old Stand when she worked in St.Andrews Street. She was over the moon with it and it now takes pride and place on her living room wall.
Absolutely thrilled to be the owner of this print and a few more especially this one as the Old Stand is my favourite pub in Dublin. Chris is highly artistic, creative and professional. Was an absolute pleasure to deal with him and hopefully I’ll get to buy many more in the future. For my friends 40th he recreated one of my favourite images in the world (Nantucket Island) as a gift for her from a group of us. She is still delighted with it years later. To note the mounts are beautifully done and the frames are very good quality. Thank you Chris.
I am delighted to be the owner of this and two other prints by Chris McMorrow. They instantly warm the room with vivid colors and old school charm. My family and friends comment on how beautiful they are when visiting. My only regret is not buying the larger versions. They were shipped promptly and safely to Canada. I highly recommend any of his artwork and look forward to purchasing more in the future.
