Stags Head Pub, Dublin - 571
A painting of customers enjoyng a few drinks outside the Stag's Head Bar which is situated between Exchequer Street and Dame Street, Dublin. A genuine Victorian pub with mahogany partitions, marble mosaic tiles on the floor and granite table tops and stained glass windows. Wonderful !

I was looking for a print of The Stag's Head as a memento of a lovely evening and the place where I met my grá geal. I'd seen Chris' work in various places over the years and knew that he had painted lots of pubs, and a quick search showed I was in luck. The Stag's Head print is a beauty - lovely vibrant colours, a welcoming glow emanating from the windows, reflections on the rain-drenched footpath. It really captures the feel of the pub, and you feel almost as though you could leap into the picture. When I was ordering the print, I explained the personal significance of the pub to Chris, and he put a lovely 'Happy anniversary' message on the back as a surprise. The print arrived, beautifully framed and very carefully packaged, within a few days. The whole thing was a treat - the ease of ordering, the quick delivery, the beautiful print itself and the surprise message on the back. Thanks so much Chris!
