Two clothes shops sit side by side on Dawson Street, Dublin: one displaying menswear, the other dresses. Couples pass beneath umbrellas, silhouetted against the bright windows in this small acrylic painting.
The pairing gave me the title, His and Hers. I bathed the scene in warm light, with the blue and red shopfronts standing out beneath the glowing upper windows. Even on a wet street, those colours give the scene a cosy feeling.
