✔ Makes a thoughtful gift for weddings, birthdays and housewarmings

A couple head up Grafton Street towards Fusiliers’ Arch in this small acrylic painting of Dublin. Flowers fill the foreground as the sellers begin to pack up, while warm shop windows light the busy street on a late summer evening.

I used the flower stall to frame the composition and give the view more depth, drawing the eye past the flowers and along the street to the distant arch. I also pushed the reds and oranges further than they were in reality to bring extra vibrancy to the scene.
