Bruxelles on Harry Street was a regular haunt of mine from the late 1970s through to the late 1980s, before the Phil Lynott statue and the outdoor seating. This acrylic painting shows a later view, with people gathered beneath the blue awning and warm light spilling from the windows.
It is a beautiful building, with a turret just above the clock and out of view here. I have painted a couple of versions from other angles, but as a Thin Lizzy fan back in the day, I made sure to fit Phil into this one!
