Acrylic seascape painting of Ballybunion Beach Co. Kerry. Ballybunion is a picturesque coastal town that swells in population in the summertime. In this painting a couple walk along the strand as the tide ebbs with a backdrop of the unusual cliff rock formations common in this part of the coastline.

Inside the Ballybunion Cliffs there is a blowhole known as the “Nine Daughters Hole” after a legend about a local chieftain who threw his nine daughters in after hearing of their plans to leave Ireland with his Viking enemies.

“Collin’s Seaweed Baths” in Ballybunion was started by Hannah Collins and her husband in the 1920’s the business is still going strong.
