Strolling through Trinity, Dublin – 23

Trinity College’s Campanile rises above a couple walking through the grounds in this autumnal acrylic painting of Dublin. The broad maple on the right fills much of the scene with warm foliage, set against a bright blue sky.

I added the couple to give a sense of scale to the bell tower and bring a little human interest to the view. The old maple, which had stood for around 170 years, was sadly lost in 2018. Its presence here preserves something of the college grounds as they once were.
