This was my first acrylic painting of Butlers Chocolate Café on the corner of South William Street and Wicklow Street. I originally sketched the view from a stool in the window of what was then Munchies Café across the road.

I love painting awnings and the Parisian feel they give a building. With people sitting outside over coffee and a chat, there is plenty of life to bring into the scene. I also included a little of the street to the left, opening up the view and adding depth beyond the café corner.
