Edge of the Forest - 744
An acrylic painting in which a couple take a promenade along a leaf strewn path meandering through a forest of bluebells . It is a damp afternoon and they are warmly dressed and linking each other under an orange umbrella as a damp Irish mist falls. We don't want her hair getting all frizzy now ...do we ? . I used acrylic paint on an 18x14 inch stretched canvas for this painting and I wanted to try a slightly different colour palette than my usual bluebell scenes. I get my inspiration and references from Donadea Forest Park and Moore Abbey Wood in Monasterevin, both County Kildare. The bluebells usually bloom around April/May and dont last for too long .
This painting is available as a Limited Edition run of 200 prints using Epson Archival inks on supreme quality Hahnemuhle Traditional Fine Art paper. See dropdown menu above to see size, price and framing options.
Hello, I wanted to share my experience of purchasing "Edge of the Forest" for my friends wedding. I was the bridesmaid, and I wanted to give them a present that they will remember for life. They are a very adventurous and sweet couple and I found the painting a perfect match for them as couple and family. Plus they moved into a new house and I could see the painting perfectly fitting in their new living room/veranda. Chris has been truly amazing in following up with me to ensure the painting would arrive 1.safe 2. on time so I felt looked after extremely well...and of course as soon as I gave the painting the couple was very astonished by the magical blue colour. Indeed, I would recommend to chose amongst one of Chris' s painting if you wish to stand out with a gift!Thank you a million again!
