A rainy evening view of Kehoes Pub, South Anne Street, Dublin, painted with a palette of acrylic paints that play the warm reds and yellows of the pub interior against the cooler blue hues outside, but those sitting outside are cosy under the warm heat lamps.

Kehoe's Pub  on South Anne Street, Dublin is a typical Victorian type bar with its snugs and mahogany partitions but it actually dates back to the early 1800's making it one of the oldest pubs in Dublin being over two hundred years old.

It was a famous hang out spot for many of Ireland’s literary giants including Brendan Behan, James Joyce, Patrick Kavanagh and Flann O’Brian.

Its one of the most popular traditional pubs in the city centre and makes for a lovely painting subject with its bright lively colour scheme and distinctive lettering as can be seen in this acrylic painting.
