An acrylic painting in which a couple take a promenade along a leaf strewn path meandering through a forest of bluebells .
It is a damp afternoon and they are warmly dressed and linking each other under an orange umbrella as a damp Irish mist falls. We don't want her hair getting all frizzy now ...do we ? .
I used acrylic paint on an 18x14 inch stretched canvas for this painting and I wanted to try a slightly different colour palette than my usual bluebell scenes.
I get my inspiration and references from Donadea Forest Park and Moore Abbey Wood in Monasterevin, both County Kildare. The bluebells usually bloom around April/May and dont last for too long .
