Castlemarket, just off South William Street, is a lovely little pedestrianised street in Dublin and is given a Parisien feel I think by the colourful awnings and outdoor dining tables of the restaurants and has a great atmosphere at any time of the year.
I keep coming back to paint it again and again. This painting was originally a daytime scene which and I subsequently painted over the canvas to produce this picture.
