I put a lot of detail and time into painting the cobblestones and tried to bring them to life using the blue reflections which contrast with the bright warm colours of the house, cafe, and the red umbrella.
Probably one of the most painted and photographed places in Paris, this was a big canvas, 40 x 30 inches.
