An uninhibited couple stop for a moment of make-believe dancing in the middle of Grafton Street. Everyone else seems to be going about their business, but these two are absorbed in their own little performance.
In this acrylic painting, I wanted to capture that playful interruption to the everyday bustle. Their movement gives the scene its focus, with the surrounding street carrying on around them.
For me, Grafton Street is as much about the people and shared moments as the buildings and shops. From busy afternoons to the familiar tradition of meeting there on Christmas Eve, it is a place woven into many Dublin memories.
