A group sail through lively blue water in this oil painting, the boat leaning into the breeze beneath a tall white sail. Clouds fill the sky above, while smaller sails appear near the distant horizon.

This was an early painting from when I was beginning to explore oils. I kept the palette simpler than usual, working with just a few colours to make learning the medium a little easier. The blues and whites bring the sea, sail and sky together, with small touches of warmer colour in the figures aboard.
