This was bought as a gift for my wife on our wedding anniversary. The pub where we met! She loves the print and will be pride of place very soon. Delivery was super fast and Chris was in contact all the time. Excellent service!
Chris' painting of The Duke successfully encapsulates the pub itself as a sanctuary that welcomes anyone to come in and make new friends over a pint. Just as good as the pints served inside.
Gift for a friend abroad
When my dear friend moved to the States, I wanted to send her a gift for Christmas that she could use to make her new house there feel more like home. As we used to frequent Sunday evening trad sessions in The Duke, I thought it would be nice to send her a photo of our old haunt. I met Chris at the Craft Fair in the RDS a few years ago where his portrayal of The Duke hit the spot. This gorgeous, expressive painting captured warmth and cosy atmosphere of The Duke and made the perfect gift. Chris sent it promptly and it arrived safely to me before I sent it on to the States. The quality of the print is superb and my friend has it adorning her walls in San Francisco to this day.
