The Campanile in Parliament Square, Trinity College, Dublin dates from Victorian times and is a widely recognised symbol representing the college, built by Sir Charles Lanyon and stands nearly 100 feet tall.

Over each of the four archways of the Campanile there are carvings of Homer, Plato, Demosthenes and Socrates.

In this acrylic painting I wanted to capture the old and the new with people with umbrellas treading the ancient cobblestones of Parliament Square.
