Dawson Street, Dublin - 314
This Dawson Street painting features a really cool old-style phonebox thats found on this Dublin street, a once omnipresent feature in the city but dying out through lack of use with the advent of mobile phones. A rainy day in Dublin with umbrellas, reflections, cool blues and warm yellows.
Dawson Street is named after Joshua Dawson who constructed the street along with Grafton and Harry Street. He also built the Mansion House. Two famous Irish architects William Hague and Thomas Francis McNamara had their offices on Dawson Street.
