Happened to be in Eason's on O'Connell Street a while back and wandered upstairs for a coffee in the Muse Cafe. I had forgotten that they had commissioned me to do a series of pencil portraits of some poets and writers many, many years ago ( Chaucer, TS Elliott, Yeats, Dante and Heaney) . Some time later the cafe was refurbished and the framed drawings disappeared but this Beckett one is hanging there. It wasnt part of the original commission job but was purchased by the manger at the time. It brought back lots of memories as I can vividly remember doing them and my parents being so proud of me at the time :-)
