I recently did a painting of the Tram Cafe on Wolfe Tone Square, Dublin. It was spotted by the owner who purchased a couple of prints and approached me about a collaboration. Re-imagining Dublin Oneis a refurbishment initiative by Dublin City Council and part of it is the the refurbishment of Wolfe Tone Park. Work has begun behind the hoarding and the Tram Cafe asked if I would like to have some of my Dublin city artwork add some colour to the dull green hoarding surrounding the Cafe. How could I refuse :-). The images were printed on panels by Morgan Printing and the resulting prints look great, retaining their vibrancy and colour.
This is one of the coolest cafe's in the city and now that the 6 week lockdown has been lifted .... for a while at least .... the cafe has been Covid-proofed with polythene pods for dining safely and dry!
There is also a 'Secret Garden' at the back of the tram with room for a few tables, with a roof to keep out the cold and damp.
